“I believe good things happen when we dare to connect with our inner selves. I believe that when we dare to listen to our gut feeling in our daily life, we make healthier choices that have a positive impact on ourselves and our environment.
I see many bodiless people around me. I was one of them too, always living in the mind and seeking distraction whenever threatened to be confronted with myself.
My art is about sharing stories of my journey of reconciling body and mind. What this feels like, more than what it looks like. In my work, I submerge to the deep subterranean caverns - the subconscious realm, the affective knowing, where I like to linger. My method is my work. I create through the language of intuition, about the power of intuition.
Through performance art, I transform my embodied knowledge within the ephemeral field between me and the audience. By making sensitive, emotive images, I invite you to enter this affective realm with me. I also use video art, spoken word and installations. I hope to speak from my gut feeling to yours, this is where our conversation lies.”
